Michael has over 40 years of dedicated experience following his graduation from the University of Saskatchewan in 1978, and has been with Metrix Group for 32 years the majority as a partner of the firm. He serves clients in his practice through the Metrix Group offices in Edmonton, Lloydminster, Whitecourt and La Crete. He specializes in audit-engagement assurance services for a variety of institutional audit clients, review-engagement assurance services for private companies, tax-planning services for private companies and their shareholders, estate-planning services, as well as providing consulting and advisory services to his corporate and personal clients.
Michael services clients from a wide array of industries. He has developed a breadth and depth of experience as an industry leader with municipal governments (and related entities), school divisions, credit unions, cooperatives and not-for-profit organizations in addition to his extensive experience with clientele in the energy industry, trucking, retail, hospitality, professional services industries and other privately held company clients.
His foundation as a designated CPA, CA, CMA, and Partner at Metrix Group, along with his extensive experience, all contribute to the value he provides his clients and the rest of the team at Metrix Group.
In his spare time, Michael likes to share his passion for boating, watersports, and outdoor activities with his wife, five children, and nine grandchildren. He also enjoys volunteering in his free time and has a rich history of service to his community and profession.
