Client Feature: Christopher Wigeland, Peroba Homes

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Christopher Wigeland—Founder and CEO of a local Edmonton construction and home building company Peroba Homes—to hear more about his story, Peroba Homes, and his experience with Metrix Group LLP.

Christopher Wigeland had spent many years working for a larger home building company within the real estate industry before founding his own.  From this experience he felt some values were being lost in the way clients were being serviced.

“I wanted to create a company where I could serve [clients] from beginning to end. You don’t necessarily get to control that unless you are the owner yourself,” said Wigeland.

He saw a gap in the real estate industry and took it upon himself to meet that need, hence the creation of Peroba Homes. Founding and running his company has put to good use his passion for creating and building homes.

“When you’re talking with clients and they give you their vision, and then you get to create it for them—that’s my favorite part, the creating.”

Peroba Homes is a local Edmonton company built on “family fundamentals.” So, naturally, when he needed an accountant he thought of Jeff Alliston, a familiar face from previous business. And so, starts his story with Metrix, in 2010.

When asked if he would recommend Metrix Group to others, Wigeland said, “I recommend it all the time, for the reason that anything I’ve ever asked of the group or of Jeff, they will always find an answer. They’re diligent with looking out for me and I feel that they’ve always had my best interest in mind.”
